Amaran is a 2024 Kollywood action biopic film directed by Rajkumar Periasamy. The film stars Sivakarthikeyan, Sai Pallavi. It is produced by Kamal Haasan under Raaj Kamal Films International, along with with Sony Pictures Films India. Film is based on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan.

Even thought few sources are claiming the budget of film to be over 150 crores, but realistically the budget of the film is 100 crore+(<120 crores) only.
With this huge production budget, film needs to earn atleast 70 crore share from Worldwide box office(130cr+ WW gross) to achieve “Clean HIT” status

Theatrical rights & Distribution are comission basis in most areas & MG in few. Also, OTT & Satellite deals were closed for record price before release itself which also marks SivaKarthikeyan career highest pre release business.
